How to reduce the energy demand in the sectors transport, built environment and industry? That was the topic of the TU/e Energy Day co-organized by DIFFER in Eindhoven on March 19th 2015.

Reducing energy demand in society is an important component in facing the global energy challenge. For a diverse audience ranging from students to professionals in research and industry, Ernst Worrell (UU), Marijke Menkveld (ECN) and Bart Somers touched upon routes to improve material and energy efficiency, to realize energy savings in the built environment, and to improve combustion technologies. The day was chaired by Erik Langereis (DIFFER), who activated the audience by voting and discussion on entertaining proposition prepared by TU/e Team Energy.

The TU/e Energy Days are organized every quarter of the year and are open to the general public. The motto of the Energy Days is to stimulate the audience to broaden their vision on energy and climate.
