The method is based on Fourier analysis of data where the statistical noise is reduced by a suitable noise reduction procedure. Besides the value of the incremental heat diffusivity (chi(inc)), information on the magnitude of non-diffusive transport may be extracted, depending on the quality of the data. The method is illustrated using JET data.
