FOM starts two focus groups on fundamental energy research

The Executive Board of the FOM foundation has started two FOM focus groups on fundamental energy research in Amsterdam and Groningen. The focus group headed by prof.dr. Kees Hummelen will work on 'Next generation organic photovoltaics' and is located at the University of Groningen. The focus group on 'Light management in new photovoltaic materials' at the FOM institute AMOLF in Amsterdam is lead by AMOLF director prof.dr. Albert Polman.

 

The starting up of two FOM focus groups [...] with the Strategic Plan 2010-1015 of FOM/N, in which energy research is one of the important themes. Both focus groups will be closely connected with the new nationally coordinating FOM institute for fundamental energy research to be located at the campus of Eindhoven University of Technology. The two focus groups both have a budget of over 5 million Euro and will each consist of around thirty researchers.
