A sustainable electric energy future, how?

Electricity is the fuel of choice for the future. Abundant variable renewables become available and advanced power electronics run our power system. Peter Vaessen, from DNVGL KEMA Laboratories and part time professor at TU Delft, will talk about the Energy Transition.
After a brief outlook of the energy transition, the key role of electricity is explained, and technological drivers identified that will shape our future power system.  Renewable fuels and storage capacity, to cope with flexibility are essential ingredients of the solution. Project examples given throughout the presentation will highlight the ongoing developments and illustrate the bright and challenging sustainable future of “electrons meet molecules”.
