| Abstract |
Three methods are employed to obtain estimates of the non-inductive current during the electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) experiments in the Rijnhuizen Tokamak Project (RTP) tokamak, (1) by estimates of the inductive currents; (2) through analysis of MHD activity (or absence thereof); (3) via its effect on the absence or presence of transport barriers. Driven currents of up to 20 kA were found with co-drive. For counter injection, only a small counter-driven current or even a net co drive was found. However, significant amounts of counter current were found to be driven locally. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. |
