It sounds like a do-it-yourself project: take a tube light and convert it into a chemical  reactor. Yet DIFFER researcher Edwin Devid receives a NWO XS grant to do just that. Within a year, Devid wants to build a device that can efficiently convert CO2 into green chemicals and fuels with renewable electricity.

Tijs Wijkamp won the Shell Graduation Award for Physics 2020 for the master project he carried out at DIFFER. The award is one of the annual Young Talent Awards by the Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen (Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities).
