Abstract

The incremental electron heat diffusivity chi(inc) is determined in Rijnhuizen Tokamak Project plasmas by measurements of simultaneous heat pulses due to (1) the sawtooth instability and (2) modulated electron cyclotron heating. No systematic difference is observed between the two measured chi(inc) values, which are both significantly larger (chi(inc)/chi(e)PB = 2-4) than the diffusivity obtained from power balance analysis, chi(e)PB.
