In this seminar an overview will be presented of First Light Fusion including our current facilities, diagnostics, and simulation capabilities. I will then describe a recent experimental campaign to confirm the production of deuterium-deuterium (DD) fusion neutrons by an inertial confinement fusion target that is driven by a one-sided impact.

On July 8th, DIFFER PhD researcher Jonathan van den Berg-Stolp will defend his thesis, titled 'Plasma-wall interaction processes in dense thermal plasmas'. The ceremony starts at 16:00h sharp. The thesis can be downloaded from the TU/e-website.
