NWO research institute DIFFER and Eindhoven University of Technology will work together on a national facility for research with high-energy X-rays. For this type of research, Dutch researchers currently need to reserve scarce, expensive time at enormous synchrotrons abroad.

Onderzoeksinstituut DIFFER en Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) gaan werken aan een nationale faciliteit voor onderzoek met hoge-energieröntgenstraling. Nederlandse onderzoekers moeten voor dit soort onderzoek nu nog dure en schaarse tijd reserveren bij enorme synchrotrons in het buitenland.

Researchers of three DIFFER groups have contributed to a new publication in Nature Communications. The research focuses on combining the properties of catalysts and non-thermal plasmas to optimize the productivity and energy efficiency of nitrogen oxidation. The work was done in collaboration with researchers at the University of Notre Dame (USA).

The NWO executive board has awarded thirteen applications in the ECCM KICkstart DE-NL Call.

To make an impact on society with their work on electrolysers for hydrogen production, DIFFER collaborates with EIRES researchers and industrial manufacturer VDL Groep in a project funded by the Brabant Development Agency (BOM).
