This is as good an occasion as any to discuss inclusivity in the tech workplace and at Differ in particular. "It’s not the tech-workplace so much that is lagging behind, but all of the Netherlands."

The New Routes for the Energy Transition project has officially kicked off on October 27. For the coming ten months, TNO, Utrecht University (UU) and DIFFER are setting up new national research communities to speed up the energy transition. NWO is funding three projects aimed at spatial planning, future energy infrastructure, and the business challenge for the energy transition.

DIFFER has reached an important milestone: the linear plasma generator of Upgraded Pilot-PSI (UPP) is operational again with greatly improved features. The machine is used to test materials to be used under the harsh conditions in fusion reactors.
