Richard van de Sanden (DIFFER en TU/e) is benoemd tot Captain of Science van het Topteam Energie, het dagelijks bestuur van de Topsector Energie. Dat heeft de Minister van Economische Zaken en Klimaat bekendgemaakt. Van de Sanden zal de rol vervullen tot november 2030.

On Thursday January 26, 2023 DIFFER was host of an international workshop on continuum modeling in energy applications. The workshop was organized by Anja Bieberle, group leader on Electrochemical Materials and Interfaces and head of the Solar Fuels department. 

Michael Abdelmalik (TU/e) together with Jonathan Citrin (DIFFER+TU/e) and Barry Koren (TU/e), will receive a grant for two PhD students from the EAISI EMDAIR program. The grant stimulates exploratory multidisciplinary AI (Artificial Intelligence) research. 

Vliegtuigbrandstof maken uit water en lucht? Het klinkt als alchemie, maar het is echt mogelijk. Er zijn slechts enkele doordachte chemische ingrediënten en processen nodig, aangedreven door groene stroom. Binnen DIFFER werd een belangrijk onderdeel binnen het groene kerosineproces ontwikkeld.
